Usher 8571 DMD Upgrade 3 Way Floor Standing Speakers Walnut for sale in Rumford, RI
Up for sale is my pair of Usher 8571 speakers that I have owned since new. I did the Diamond (DMD) tweeter update a few years ago. I LOVE these speakers and have used them with tube and SS gear, Krell, Audio Research, Conrad Johnson, Pass Labs, etc. I also used them with a Pathos integrated tube amp for a while at 70w w/o any issue. There is an accuracy and texture to the sound that is unique to Usher, IMOP. Bass is super tight all the way down as well. For the price when new and even now, they stand up to speakers that are many thousands more (often compared to mid level Wilsons, Focals, etc). Lots of reviews on these, Absolute Sound Editor's Choice when introduced. The same speakers, originally with the BE tweeters, have been in production since 2005ish up until very recently. They are beyond furniture grade with walnut cabinets that are extremely solid and tight, each speaker coming in at around 180LBS-more specs below.I am selling because I upgraded to the BE 20 and don't need two pairs of hefty speakers around (says the wife). This pair has been well cared for, a few small nicks here and there. I did manage to scratch one speaker at the top side edge but that is the only spot that keeps these from moving up a notch in grading. The grills are tight and the piano black is very clean and shiny. Comes complete with all the adjustable spikes. Please look at the picks. I no longer have the boxes so pickup only.
